| The copyright law of the United States
(Title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other
reproductions of copyrighted material.
Under certain conditions specified in the
law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other
reproduction. One of these specified conditions is that the photocopy or
reproduction is not to be "used for any purpose other than private
study, scholarship, or research." If a user makes a request for, or
later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of
"fair use," that user may be liable for copyright infringement.
This institution reserves the right to
refuse to accept a copying order if, in its judgment, fulfillment or the
order would involve violation of copyright law.
By submitting a request you are agreeing to
abide by Title 17 of the U.S. Copyright Code.

When submitting ILL requests please remember
the following:
Always check Miss Julia
before submitting a request. Many requests are rejected by the ILL
Department because the item is already owned by UWA and is on the
Library's shelves.
Please fill out each form completely. This speeds processing of
your request and incomplete requests may be cancelled.
Do not use abbreviations and always provide the complete title, if
available. Abbreviating and omitting words reduces the chances of
finding the correct item. If your citation is abbreviated, use the exact
abbreviation found in your citation.
Use a separate form for each item. Do not request more than
one item per request form.
Submitting a request electronically is not considered a "rush"
service.
Requests submitted via the Internet are handled just as written request
forms. If you have need for a rush request, contact Interlibrary Loan
directly at (205) 652-3842.
