Locating and Receiving Library Material
Getting a Book:
From the Library home page, click Search
the Catalog. Click Local
Catalog to see if we have the book. If
we don’t have the book, go back to Search the
Catalog and click Remote Libraries.
If you are still unable to locate the book, return to the Library
home page, click Find
Articles, choose Databases by Title, WorldCat. You will be taken to the First Search page.
Check WorldCat as the database to search.
When you locate the book, print the citation so that you will have the
information you need to request the book.
To request a book through Interlibrary Loan (ILL):
Go to the Library home page, click Student
Services, Distance Education, Interlibrary Loan, Book.
Click Request a Book. Complete
and submit the form. If you prefer
to mail your book request, complete and print the form, attach the book
information sheet you printed previously, and mail to the address
below.
Getting an Article:
From the Library home page, click Find
Articles. We suggest that you
go to Databases by Vendor first and try EBSCO and ProQuest.
These two databases are full text and have access to journals with many
general and area specific professional sources. To learn more about these and other databases and locating
database journal listings, click here.
For another approach click Databases by Subject and choose your
area of study. These are just some
of the suggested databases for some subjects.
This
list does not imply that these are the only databases available for these
subjects. We previously suggested
EBSCO and ProQuest first because some of the databases under subject are citation only
(no full text).
To limit your search to full text only, click Full Text.
If you locate the article you need and it is not full text,
we may be able to obtain it through Inter Library Loan and mail it to you.
Print the article information and submit to ILL as instructed below.

Internet
Resources:
In addition to the subscription databases available through
Find Articles, we have links to Internet web pages, which may be useful.
We make every effort to provide access to educational websites but we
make no guarantee as to the quality of the information.
To access these web links by subject, from the Library
home page, click Browse Internet Resources by Subject.
